Le Mesnil Geoffroy

The castle of le Mesnil Geoffroy was built during the 17th and 18th century by De La Heuze and Lannoy de Bellegarde in the heart of Normandy

The park 'a la francaise' was drawn by Colinet, who was the first gardener to Le Notre, the architect of Versailles' gardens.
The garden was left neglected for twenty years and the current owners, The Prince and Princess Kayali, restored  the gardens to their original style, with its perspectives,  statues and vases and the courtyard boarded with buxus' cushions.

Created in 1998, the two rosaries includes 2500 roses representing 1187 different varieties.

The 'roseraie des couleurs' (the colour rosary) and the 'roseraie des parfums' (the perfumed rosary), which allowed its gardener to earn the prize for the best gardener of France (meilleur Jardinier de France), is considered as a rosary-conservatory.

In order to protect endangered roses, the Mesnil Geoffroy's rosary is exchanging cuttings with L'Haye les Roses, the famous rosary near Paris.
