In
the middle of the French countryside, despite the wind and the
draught, Patsy Boughton built an inspired English Garden.

A
very old 'Leontine Gervais' rose. |
|
With
300 old , species and english roses on 1,5 Ha the garden is
organised in different "rooms' following a celtic cross plan.
Patsy
combines old roses, perennials, vegetables and fruit trees, in a
succession of rooms separated by chestnut wood pergolas. Each room
has its own charm and different style :
-
"Jardin de Cure" (The priest garden)
-
Four seasons garden
-
Old-time roserie
-
Mixed border garden
-
Old apple trees alley
-
Fairies' little clairiere
-
Woodland roserie...
